In the movie Police story, detective Chen Jiaju was trained by the police swat team, he is upright and dedicated. During a roundup of drug trafficking groups in a log cabin, he arrested Zhu Tao, a big drug lord. The police arranged that Zhu Tao’s female secretary, Salina, would be the prosecution witness. Chen Jiaju was instructed to guard Sarana day and night, but the two were attacked by Zhu Tao. On the day of the trial, Salina disappeared. Due to insufficient evidence, the witness did not appear in court, Zhu Tao was released in court, and Chen Jiaju was demoted. Afterwards, Zhu Tao lured Jiaju to the villa where Salina was imprisoned. Zhu Tao sent his men to kill a police officer framed Jiaju, Salina escaped. The police issued a wanted circular order to Jiaju. Jiaju began to go into exile. Although he returned to the police station to plead his innocence, but they don’t believe it. In panic, he seized his boss as his hostage to leave the police station and look for the murderer on his own. At this time, Salina ventured into Zhu Tao’s office and stole the evidence, but unfortunately was found by Zhu Tao and snatched back the evidence. At this time Jiaju arrived, and turned into a dogfight, and finally arrested the criminal in the mall. With the assist of Salina, he finally proved his innocence.
The film filled with tension and excitement, it also created a precedent for Jackie Chan‘s life-threatening performance of dangerous scenes, which became a characteristic value of his later filmmaking. During the shooting, Jackie Chan was almost paralyzed due to spine damage and pelvic dislocation. Lin Qingxia and Zhang Manyu’ performance all have their own merits in the film.
